My Art Books

I just decided that all of my art books should be together. There are some that I’ve had since high school – maybe even before – and they have (almost) always been in the same bookshelf. So it just made sense to put all of the art books in that bookshelf.

I think you can tell a lot about a man by the books he reads. So, to that end, take a look!

Update 2016.06.24: After sorting through even more books, I now have 3 shelves full of art books. I’m updating this photo for your enjoyment pleasure. (Or something like that.)

3 shelves full of art books of almost every type. Instructional, historical and informational.

Oh! And I actually found some more, so I guess I’ll have to clean of the shelf below these! (Not shown.)

This is tagged as Geek Stuff  because that little shaman guy at top-left is holding an Intel Pentium chip. And the blue heatsink, near the center on the right edge, belongs on that chip. It’s not a Pentium II, or anything fancy like that. It’s a Pentium. (Pics needed???) Man we thought that was the greatest thing!!!

As an introduction to myself, I studied art and music primarily and then trained myself to become a computer programmer and worked my way to the top of that profession in a 21+ year career. My last job title was “Advanced Software Engineer”. Unfortunately I have a lot of health problems and I am on disability now. I usually can’t do too much physically – and I still can’t type much. I’m using Dragon Professional Individual to dictate this – I love this software and it has allowed me to regain some of my online presence.

As promised, here are a few links to stuff from I and I 😉

I promise I will never use your email at all, unless you sign up for one of my mailing lists. (Which I don’t have yet, so at this point I will not use your email at all!) If/when I do create a mailing list it will be strictly “opt-in” and I will never, ever give away or sell your contact information to anyone. Even if I were to sell “this page”, I would not give away your emails and would destroy all contact info I had collected before the site was transferred to a new owner. With the sole exception of my demise. (Rumors of which have been greatly exaggerated. 😉 ) In such an event, the person designated to inherit all of my online data would receive your contact info. Currently the only such person is my wife. I’m quite certain that she will never use your info, either.

If you’re still with me, thank you for at least reading this page to learn what I’m all about. (At least the online me.) I love comments. Especially intelligent thoughts or good questions. Feel free to comment on anything and everything.

The White Family Singers at Robert Barnes’ Funeral 20150504

I just uploaded this very inspirational video to YouTube:

I hope you will watch and enjoy it! Comment here on my blog, there on YouTube, or anywhere you see this linked (by me, especially), no matter your religion (or lack thereof!). I think everyone can appreciate this at some level!

My uncle, Robert Gerald Barnes was buried May 5th, 2016 with full military honors, including taps and a 21-gun salute! I was named as an honorary pallbearer. That was, indeed, an honor for me! My cousin Cheryl Barnes-Barnett asked me to make a video of the funeral and burial, and all of the military honors.

The family also requested that I not make the entire video public, but only this one of the singers, and the taps and 21-gun salute, which I will upload later (and update this post to include it, rather than creating a new post). Please stay tuned if you are reading this text! ??
